Help the Moore family find a home for the new year

First I'd like to say that this is our last resort.

When we decided to move to the Niagara region, we got a place from a landlord that is a despicable man. He rented us a house that had mold throughout, but especially in the basement. My son and a good friend of ours spent time (just over a month, 8 hours a day) and money trying to rid the house of mold. While going through this the plumbing started acting up everyday. We would have to call the plumber every 2 to 3 days. The toilet was plugging up, and then that would back up into the tub and sinks which was intolerable. When we called the landlord he didn't want to co-operate and gave us trouble at every turn. It was brutal the first 6 month's we lived here. I'm not sure why but the toilet calmed down and only backed up maybe once a month. After all the work that was done in the basement, he refused to pay my son and friend. Then the basement started to leak and ruined much of our belongings which he wouldn't pay for. He thought buying a shop vac to vacuum up the water was a hardship. Keep in mind that this whole time we are in lock down because of covid. Most of the courts were closed including the landlord tenant board. He then sells the property without letting us know when we took the house that it was for sale. We pay the utilities and the hydro bill has been close to $500.00 consistently every month which makes me think the wiring in the house isn't right. This makes me worry about a fire.

Now the new landlord takes over and wants to put nothing into the house because he plans to demolish the house and put up condos. They've given us notice to leave which says the house will be demolished because "the house is beyond it's useful life", yet we've been living here for a year. This landlord has tried to help us find a place to live.

Our current situation is getting increasingly worse. the basement just keeps flooding no matter what we do. It's ruined even more of our belongings. My son and grandson sleep in the basement and their beds are ruined along with their dressers, our pool table, and computers and parts from my sons part time business. It's been since the new flooding that we now have roaches that we are trying to get rid of. I've noticed that we are all getting sick more than normal. We are sick to our stomach, headaches, diarrhea, phlegm and congestion. The kids are missing to much school from this.

When looking for a new place to live I've run into some walls. 1- there are 7 of us so we need a big house. 2- My credit score is only 560 due to a dispute with a loan for a car. It has nothing to do with not paying our rent. 3- we are on ODSP and OW . I've begged landlords to give us a chance but no one is willing. I've got an application in at Niagara Housing, but I was told there is a 4 year waiting list. I called my MPP and he was absolutely no help at all. I don't know who else I can turn to but YOU the public. We don't have enough money to move, have a decent Christmas for the kids, or to get a garbage bin to clear out the stuff that was ruined from the flooding so the mold is coming back. I feel defeated and depressed. Can you please help?

This is what I have sent to 100+ landlords and places and most the time they just don't reply. The people that do reply, we drive, sometimes for hours, just to find out they need someone with good credit and don't want us because we are on social assistance with fair credit.

With being in this situation we have decided that if we get some help, we are going to pay it forward by starting an organization to help those in need. My son and his friend are good at tech and we had the idea of starting a crypto currency to help people just like us, or even in a worse position. We are going to have a voting system, so the holders of the tokens have a say what we use the money for. And if anyone needs to see proof that we are real people and really dealing with this situation then we can provide pictures and videos and verification of our circumstances.
